Bethesda trademark points to future Starfield expansion, fans believe

Starfield Fans believe that a trademark for “Starborn” registered by Bethesda’s parent company Zenimax earlier this month points to the game’s currently unreleased second expansion, which will likely arrive in 2025.

Bethesda’s space RPG released last year, and is set to launch its first expansion, Shattered Space, in the coming months. In a conversation with YouTuber MrMattyPlays in June, Bethesda’s Todd Howard confirms at least one more expansion will come after Shattered SpaceHe added that the studio was already “planning for the one after this”.

The base game features a mysterious group called the Starborn. They have passed through a portal called the Unity and traveled between universes. The Starborn reveal themselves to the heroic Starborn only when enough of the game’s artifacts have been collected.

While purely speculative for now, this trademark suggests that Starfield’s next DLC after Shattered Space could focus on this group, possibly discussing in detail the group’s origins and their abilities to visit different universes.
