Buy this Asus TUF RX 7900 XT for just £605 after cashback from Scan Computers

We’ve seen some great deals on GPUs with Asus’ current cashback promo, but they were mainly on Nvidia GPUs. For those looking to buy one of AMD’s top options at a discount, I’ve probably found the deal for you – this Asus TUF RX 7900 XT is available with cashback for £605, which is one of the best prices we’ve seen on AMD’s second-biggest GPU yet, and certainly takes it on par with comparable options from Nvidia.

So, it works with two different parts of cashback redemption. The first of these is Redemption run by ASUS On select AMD GPUs, as well as AIO coolers and PSUs. The TUF 7900 XT offers a maximum £90 cashback redemption here, which reduces the price of the card to £630. For an additional £25, the 7900 XT offered here is a compatible product with Asus. Rate my gear promo which we’ve covered previously in other deals and it runs until June 30. Simply leave a positive or negative review of the card at the retailer you bought it from (with scans being a participating option) – it must be about the product and at least six words – and you can get an extra £25 off, making this card worth £605.

The truth is that the 7900 XT is a powerful graphics card for 1440p and 4K gaming, regardless of its price. 7900XT ReviewWe found its performance was on par with Nvidia’s previous-gen RTX 3080 and 3080 Ti, and well above the 4080. It actually lags slightly behind the 4070 Super in RT-based workloads, but is ahead in tasks like Control compared to the 4070 Super and 4070 Ti non-Super at 1440p. In Doom Eternal, we recorded an average 4K frame-rate of over 200fps, while in the more demanding F1 22 we saw over 150fps. Gears 5, Control and Red Dead Redemption 2 were all comfortably above 60fps at 4K, even with settings cranked up.

As well as being a great card for 1440p and 4K gaming, the 7900 XT also has a number of great features that make it a great choice for content creation workloads. It has support for AMD’s new Media Engine, which brings support for AV1 encoding. In addition, the 7900 XT comes with support for both HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1, the latter being a future-looking display standard that could give the 7900 XT better utility as new high-res, high-refresh displays are being released.

At £605 with cashback, the RX 7900 XT is a very attractive buy, especially considering Nvidia’s new Super card. If you’re looking for a great GPU for 1440p and 4K gaming, this is definitely a deal worth considering.
