The credits for Elden Ring, which were revised after the release of the DLC Shadows of the Aardtree, appear to not give proper credit to translators from Latin America.
Eurogamer understands that the revised credits now give full credit to the translators in Europe. The localisation staff is listed, as well as special thanks to all the individual translators, who all fall under Bandai Namco Europe.
However, translators from Latin America under Bandai Namco America are not given the same respect. Unlike Chinese and Korean translators, Thai translators are also not listed individually by Bandai Namco Asia other than under the agency’s name.
Other than this, Original credits The game’s Brazilian Portuguese and Latin American Spanish translators are credited separately, but the new credits remove these names and include a generic special thanks message in its place.
Now that the revised credits overwrite the original credits, these translators are no longer individually credited.
