If you’re looking for some free action to get you through the weekend, you can head over to the Epic Games Store, where you can get your hands on arcade management and grid-based, turn-based deck building for zero money.
More specifically, from now until next Thursday, July 18, the following titles are free to download and keep through the Epic Games Store:
- Arcade Paradise
- Floppy Knights
Getting Started with Nosebleed Interactive Arcade ParadiseIt’s the kind of hands-on, first-person management game that challenges players to transform their family’s crumbling launderette into a thriving arcade, one shiny new cabinet at a time. Your time is split between keeping the launderette running — manually collecting trash, washing and folding laundry, cleaning toilets, and so on — to racking up the cash you need to expand your arcade empire. Where you’ll spend the rest of your time: messing with the base game’s 35 available cabinets, all of which are playable. Christian Donlan I really liked Arcade Paradise,
As far as Rose City Games is concerned Floppy KnightsIt casts players as Phoebe, a brilliant young inventor with a robotic arm who’s trying to save enough money to pay for her best friend. It’s a goal that, for reasons, involves taking down armies of demons using Phoebe’s titular tangible projections, all summoned from floppy disks. The result is a mix of tactical turn-based combat and deckbuilding that Eurogamer called “awesome.” Said Back in 2022, “Fun, Plain and Simple”
So if any of these sound appealing to you, you have until next Thursday to add them to your Epic Games Store library. After that, the new free games will be replaced by the Welsh folklore-inspired first-person horror game Maid of Sker, confirmed by Epic.
