Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios has donated $4311 (£3397) to the Save the Children charity after Helldivers chose morality over murder earlier this week.
Arrowhead CCO and Helldiver 2 Creative Director Johan Pilestad confirmed the donation Helldivers players picked to rescue the stranded survivors – who were thousands of sick children – at Vernon Wells, rather than look for raw materials they could use to make MD-17 anti-tank mines at Marfork.
Why $4,311? That’s because the Helldivers saved 4,311 children in the game, which translated into donations to save real-life children.
“Since the Helldivers 2 community decided to save the kids, [Arrowhead Game Studios] Pilestad wrote, “We have donated to Save the Children. The divers did a great job!”
