Reviewers swear by it There is no break-in periodThis makes them a great choice for last-minute outdoor trips that involve hiking and rough terrain. Note that It is recommended to go up a half size in these boots to accommodate thicker hiking socksAnd I found this to be true when I bought these shoes myself – I’m normally an 8, but felt perfectly comfortable being an 8.5 in these.
I also found that they held up well even on my first hike – although I still had some pain around my heels, this was after a tough, 7+ mile hike with lots of rocks and climbing, so I don’t blame the shoes. They felt comfortable right out of the box and were very supportive when I was walking over rocks and rough terrain. And although I only walked in water a few times, my socks stayed dry too. I got the brown one with red laces as pictured above, and they’re even cuter in person, which is another plus.
Promising reviews: “Comfortable and definitely water resistant! I’ve worn these on a few long hikes which included walking along streams and shorelines and had water up to my ankles, but these stayed dry and the color is still perfect. No blisters which I usually get from new shoes. It’s like walking on clouds. They’re strong for your ankles on rocks and have good grip – not perfect for slippery rocks, but still better than sneakers.”CrissSquared
