It looks like Sony’s live-service sci-fi shooter Concorde will launch at a price of £35

It looks like Sony’s recently revealed 5v5 sci-fi shooter Concord will take inspiration from the hugely successful live-service playbook of Helldivers 2, and launch at the relatively modest price of £35.

Concorde was the first game from Sony’s Firewalk Studios. Announced with only minimal details in May last year. There was more revealed However, during last week’s PlayStation State of Play, when Concord was confirmed as a 5v5 first-person shooter – seemingly with a touch of Overwatch in its DNA – featuring 16 launch characters as well as a variety of modes and maps.

Due to the live-service nature of Concord (which hasn’t been met with much enthusiasm amongst PlayStation fans) some were skeptical about what Sony would price the game at when it launches for PlayStation 5 and PC on August 23 – especially considering the modest price of Sony’s recent live-service smash-hit Helldivers 2 – and now it appears the company is opting for a similar pricing strategy this time around.

As seen Resetera (Via Push Square), currently available on the Australian PlayStation Store Lists The pre-order price for Concord’s standard edition is AU$59.95, while its Digital Deluxe Edition costs $94.95. This matches the Australian price of Helldivers 2, meaning Concord will retail for £34.99/$39.99 in the US and UK (£49.99/$59.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition).

According to the same Australian listing, Concord’s Digital Deluxe Edition includes three days of early access, 16 character skins, and a Monarch Pack that includes Vael’s Monarch Frontliner Sniper Skin and the Dead Reckoner Weapon Skin Pack. Pre-orderers also get early access to Concord’s beta, which is currently scheduled to launch this July.
