LEGO Fortnite enters uncharted territory with huge Lost Isles expansion

In its first game, Lost Isles will introduce players to five new blocky environments: beach, field, forest, mountain, and floating island. While the beach is described as “a great place to relax” (except for the pirates), the jungle environment holds the potential for mayhem with Storm-wild tomatoes.

Explorers will be able to obtain some new equipment, making their journey to these new locations even more unique. These equipment include pirate muskets, flint-knuckle pistols, and throwing spears (which are obtained from the Yellow Tribe, who make their home on the plains).

In addition to the new kit, the LEGO Fortnite developer has also upgraded the Essence Table to the Rune Forge. Here, players can “craft runes to strengthen their equipment by spending Essence”.

In addition, there will be a chance to meet some new Fortnite LEGO creatures known as Cloombs. These guys are said to be friendly, but you’ll have to feed them Cloombers to win them over. “Just don’t make it go crazy,” the LEGO Fortnite team warned.

Now, about that battle pass I mentioned. It’s called the Tropical Treasures LEGO Pass, and it promises decorations and builds for players to unlock.

Here’s how the Tropical Treasures LEGO Pass works:

• After selecting the LEGO Fortnite Experience in Fortnite, go to the LEGO Pass button in the top navigation.
• Here you will see a button to view LEGO Passes and Quests. These quests are all about exploring the Lost Isles. Complete these to earn studs!
• The more studs you collect, the further you advance in the LEGO Pass! As you progress, unlock in-game rewards from the free Rewards Track. If you prefer, you can also unlock in-game rewards from the purchasable Premium Rewards Track.

Epic said the Premium Rewards track costs 1,400 V-Bucks and will be available to progress until October 11. If you choose to purchase the Premium Rewards track, you will unlock the Island Adventure Peely Outfit.
