Life Is Strange is back, its original protagonist all grown up

Life Is Strange will return with a new murder-solving adventure starring the series’ original protagonist Max Caulfield, now all grown up.

The first trailer, shown during today’s Xbox Showcase, shows Max using her powers when her best friend (no, not that one) is found dead.

But it’s not the same power that Max had in Life Is Strange 1. This time around, it seems he has the ability to peer into an alternate dimension – where his friend is still alive.

Would you solve your friend’s murder… with your friend still alive? It’s an interesting concept. And it’s very interesting to see that Life is Strange’s adopted developer Deck Nine has brought back the franchise’s original protagonist after its last, brand new installment, True Colors.

Life Is Strange is set to launch on October 29 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Deck Nine was recently the subject of a detailed report on its workplaceand most notably its former chief creative officer Jack Garris, who is no longer at the studio.
