Microsoft wants to let you know that Xbox will be attending this year’s Gamescom


After Sony once again surprised no one by announcing that PlayStation would not be at Gamescom this year, Microsoft has taken advantage of the opportunity to let everyone know that, quite literally, Xbox is the one Desire will be attending this year’s show.

Microsoft shared the news On social media, they’ve invited attendees to visit their “biggest booth ever” at Gamescom this year in Cologne, Germany in August.

Microsoft will, of course, be the only major console maker to have a presence at Gamescom 2024; Nintendo confirmed that it won’t come with It was said in April that players would have opportunities to try out Switch games at other events throughout the year, and PlayStation confirmed non-arrival earlier this week. However, Sony’s absence hardly surprises anyone, as it hasn’t appeared since 2019.

However, Gamescom should be a big event for Xbox, given its upcoming lineup of games. According to first-party sources, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6Declared, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024and Age of Mythology Retold will all launch before the end of 2024, so there’s likely to be time for hands-on work. Microsoft may reveal a little more about next year’s releases later this month – including Doom: The Dark Ages and Fable Impressive Xbox Games Showcase,

Gamescom 2024 will run from August 21-25, and that will be preceded by Geoff Keighley’s spectacular Opening Night Live showcase on August 20 – featuring two hours of game announcements, trailers and gameplay reveals. And maybe there’ll even be a Kojima appearance or two?
