Cataclysmo is the next game from Moonlighter developer Digital Sun, and it’s now in Early Access.
This game was previously featured here Humble Games Showcase 2023simultaneously Triple-I Showcase came out back in April and generated a lot of interest. It has also been published Manor Lords Publisher Hooded Horse.
Cataclysmo is a new game based on real-time strategy and tower defense, in which players are tasked with building a fortress and defending it from endless hordes of demonic enemies, all done with a unique moonlit art style.

Currently, the game features a fully-voiced campaign of eleven levels, with more to come before 1.0 launches, as well as a Skirmish mode, Endless mode, an extensive level editor, and Steam Workshop compatibility for sharing maps.
“During Early Access, more biomes, features, and modes will be added, including additional content for the Endless game mode and new levels for the main campaign,” the Steam notice reads. “While it’s too early to say when our 1.0 launch will be, we expect to remain in Early Access until at least the first months of 2025.”
It adds: “It’s been over five years since Moonlighter was released, and we owe our success to the support of our players. Whether Cataclysmo is your first Digital Sun game, or you’ve been on board since Will’s Grand Adventure, we’re grateful you joined us on this journey.”
Christian Donlan of Eurogamer said Hands-on experience with Cataclysmo I was very impressed by a blog post I did a few months ago. “But I think the key lies in two things: simple things are very satisfying, and you are never far from disaster,” he wrote.
