You wait for years for the new season of your favorite show and then find out that it is about to end. Classic Netflix FashionToday’s action-packed trailer for Arcane season two features the show’s long-awaited second episode, described as “The Final Chapter.”
Which, for what is possibly the best video game adaptation of all time and an incredible TV show in general, is very bad news.
There’s a lot to reveal about the show’s first season here, as the trailer gives us a glimpse of what happened next after the explosive ending of the first season.
Some (but obviously not all) of the series characters from season one are present in this season two, our best look yet at Arcane. It looks awesome! But, it’s a huge shame to find out that these episodes are likely to be the end of Arcane’s story.
The first nine-episode season of Arcane debuted on Netflix in 2021. It was six years in the making and received praise from fans of the League of Legends source material and newcomers alike. It was also critically acclaimed and won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program that year.
The show’s upcoming second season has been three years in the making, and hopefully will continue its story. Perhaps there’s still the possibility of another Arcane-style series elsewhere in its universe, but fans should now prepare themselves for the show’s overall series finale when the new episodes come out in November,
