Lost Souls Aside is set to launch in 2025, nine years after Devil May Cry was first revealed by its solo developer and final fantasy 15 Inspired action game.
Chinese developer Yang Bing originally started the project alone before founding his own studio AltiZero Games. Now Sony will publish the game for PS5 and PC (Steam).
Along with the launch news, a new trailer has been released for the game which includes fresh footage of the sword-wielding hero and dragon companion fighting the ice beast in a spectacular battle.
PlayStation previously shared a trailer The game was preceded by the PlayStation China Hero Project launch event two years later, with its character action and platforming blending worldwide science-fiction and Chinese tradition.
Before that, eight years ago, it was an indie prototype developed by Bing alone using stock assets.
And if the protagonist resembles Final Fantasy 15’s Noctis, that game directly inspired Devil May Cry as well as Bing’s work.
An official Sony overview of the game states, “Go on an epic odyssey to save your sister and the entire human race from dimensional invaders in Lost Souls Aside – a stylish single-player action adventure RPG.” steam page,
