Nintendo is offering two months extra time on Switch Online subscription renewals

You can currently re-subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online and get an additional two months of subscription for free.

Nintendo announced the offer today as a feature of its new Mega Multiplayer Festival, which runs from now until September 8.

Purchase the 12-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription option from the eShop or My Nintendo Store during this period and you will be granted a 14-month subscription term.

There will also be other bonuses over the coming month, including extra Gold Points available via the eShop and My Nintendo Store when purchasing the game between 9am UK time on August 5 and 18th.

Meanwhile, additional Switch game tests of four full multiplayer titles will be available from August 19 to 25 – though the identities of these games will be announced at a later date.

Next, the mega multiplayer games sale will run from August 26 to September 8, if you liked any of the titles available for testing and want to buy them at a discount.

The next month is a quiet period for Nintendo, and it’s currently a transitional time for the company as it prepares to announce Switch 2 At some time before 1 April 2025.

However, there are still a number of Switch 1 games yet to be released – the most notable of which are The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (September 26), Super Mario Party Jamboree (October 17), Mario & Luigi: Brothership (November 7), and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (January 16, 2025).
