Nintendo officially excludes Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom from the series’ established timeline


It’s official – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild And Tears of the state Events that occur outside of the series’ established timeframe.

This information has been provided by Nintendo itself, which has shared the timetable for Nintendo Live 2024 in Sydney.

While all other games fall into either the “hero defeated” or “hero victorious” timeline, two games are deliberately placed on the edge: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

“Since 1987, Link has starred in the Legend of Zelda series, facing monstrous foes across multiple timelines,” Nintendo shared an image, explaining. Woox,

“When evil rears its ugly head, you can bet Link and his longtime co-star Zelda will be there to fight for Hyrule.

“Over the past 37 years, Link’s career has been full of ups and downs – involving many adventures and countless enemies.

It then invites players to “learn more about this hero’s journey” in the timeline below, which clearly sets the latest addition to the series in a completely different time frame from the rest of the games:

Interestingly, there is no clear connection between Neither of the two latest games do; while there is a line connecting the other games on the timeline, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom do not.
