Palworld developer strikes deal with Sony to expand franchise beyond video games

The maker of the Pokémon-like monster fighting game Palworld has founded a new company, Palworld Entertainment, designed to “accelerate the multifaceted global growth” of the game and further expand the brand.

Palworld Entertainment is a joint venture between the game’s developer PocketPlayer and Sony, with investments through its Sony Music Entertainment and Aniplex brands.

The latter will be stocking new Palworld merchandise via Aniplex online – which should be good news for those who want plush toy versions of their Pals.
