During a conversation with the moderator, Trump was asked: “Some of your supporters, including Republicans on Capitol Hill, have dubbed Vice President Kamala Harris — the first Black and Asian American woman to serve as vice president on a major party ticket — a ‘DEI hire.’ Is that language acceptable to you? And would you forbid those Republicans and supporters from doing the same?”
To this, Trump promptly responded: “How do you define DEI? Tell me, how do you define it?”
And when the host responds, “Diversity, equity and inclusion,” Trump retorts, “OK, yeah, go ahead. Is that your definition? Give me a definition…You’ll have to define it.”
