ZeniMax Online Studios employees have voted to form a union.
The ZOS United-CWA union as part of the Communications Workers of America has been recognized by parent company, Microsoft, “signaling a significant victory for workers’ rights in the industry”.
The union said that together, workers will be able to collectively push for “real reforms in the workplace,” including “job security, protections against AI, better wages and benefits amid record layoffs.”
461 members including web developers, designers, engineers and graphic artists have joined.
The decision to form a union comes after Hundreds of Zenimax employees went on strike last month In protest against parent company Microsoft outsourcing work without bargaining with the Communications Workers of America (CWA) union.

ZOS United-CWA member Billy Eichner said, “I’m excited to see that workers finally have the right to be heard in the workplace. Other employers have chosen to undermine and attack workers who Want to collectively improve our working conditions.”
