It looks like The Last of Us Part 2 will be one of the next games coming from Sony to PC.
According to reliable leaker Bilbil-kun DLabsWork on the PC release of Naughty Dog’s sequel has been completed. In fact, work on this port was completed as late as November last year.
Bilbil-kun speculates that Naughty Dog is holding off on announcing a PC port for the time being in order to time its release with that of The second season of HBO’s The Last of Us TV adaptationThe next series of the show is currently set to air sometime in 2025, and while it won’t cover the entirety of the second game, it will likely boost sales of any simultaneous releases, making this a reasonable assumption.
Naughty Dog has already released the first installment of The Last of Us on PC, packaging it with the Left Behind DLC. This remastered release included a few extra bells and whistles, such as its brand new roguelike survival mode No Return and playable Lost Levels.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see The Last of Us Part 2 eventually come to PC as well. Sony has been steadily releasing its console exclusive games on Steam for the past several years, and subsequent PlayStation titles like 2018’s God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn have also been added to the platform.
