The Witcher 3 mod adds character customization and magic-wielding sorceress class

An impressive new mod for The Witcher 3 lets players customize their own character and even wield magic as a sorceress.

Modder nikich340 is working on it Custom Player Character Mod It’s been available on Nexusmods for two and a half years (thank you) IGN,

This mod allows players to create a custom character in place of protagonist Geralt, in which they can choose between a wizard, a sorceress, and even a sorceress with a new magic combat system and questlines.

While it’s not a full character creator in the traditional sense, this mod essentially takes body elements from all NPCs and allows players to mix and match them according to their character’s style.

Players can then choose from three classes. The Witcher will play just like Geralt, while the Witchess is the same, but with a female character. So yes, you can recast the character as Ciri for the entire game, or create a more custom character.

Perhaps most interesting, though, is the sorceress class, which not only includes a new magic combat system but also a unique quest to unlock skills. Yes, this means you can finally play The Witcher 3 as Yennefer (or Triss, if you really must).

Oh, and in addition to destroying enemies with lightning, you can also transform into a cat!

The animations for female characters have been changed, and – via a separate mod – female voices can also be added.

In short, this is a pretty great mod that will fulfill the wish of some players looking for an alternative to Geralt. You can see it in full action in the video below.
