Trials of Mana is one of five games that will drop on PlayStation Plus in August, ahead of the release of upcoming series addition Visions of Mana.
Sony’s PlayStation Plus catalog now has five games in a ‘Last Chance to Play’ collection: NBA 2K24 Kobe Bryant Edition, Need for Speed Unbound, SpellForce 3 Reforged, Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed, and Trials of Mana.
All five will leave the service on August 20.
Trials of Mana was released in 2020 for PS4, PC, and Switch, and is a remake of the 1995 SNES game of the same name.
Its removal from the subscription service is likely partly due to this Philosophy of mindThe game, the first new game in the series in over 15 years, is set to arrive on August 29 on PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Windows and Steam.
Square Enix has already confirmed This game will not come with the passHowever.
I left Practical Experience with Visions of Mana It launched just a few months ago and has enjoyed a return to the series’ roots.
“Thematically they both deal with characters who try to resist their fate in a number of ways,” series producer Masura Oyamada told me about the Mana and Final Fantasy series. “That’s something shared across both franchises, but when it comes to Final Fantasy, I always feel like they present themselves as a more cool, edgy, and stylish series, whereas Mana has always focused more on portraying a sense of natural warmth and kindness from the characters.”
PlayStation Plus is updated with new games for JulyThat includes Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 – Reunion, The Jackbox Party Pack 9, Remnant II – Standard Edition, and the cult-classic PSP tactics game Jeanne D’Arc from Level-5.
